A special meeting of the New Horizons School Board of Directors has been called for 7:00 pm this evening (Monday, May 25), the meeting to be held at the school. The purpose of the meeting is for the Board to review the feedback received from parents, and to consider other information, with respect to a request received from the Greater North Central Francophone Education Region to share space at our school’s new Sherwood Park campus. The agenda for the meeting can be found on the school website at </school-board/. This is a public meeting, so everyone is welcome to attend.
Friends Club is now offering out-of-school care spaces at New Horizons School. For more information visit the Out-of-School Care page.
All New Horizons’ parents are invited to attend a special meeting that will be held in the school gymnasium at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20. The purpose of the meeting is to provide opportunity for parents to hear about, ask about, and comment on a request that has been received from the Greater North Central Francophone Education Region No 6.
In its essence, the request from the francophone jurisdiction is that the newly-formed École francophone de Sherwood Park be granted opportunity to share space at our school’s new Sherwood Park campus. Some of the space would consist of classrooms that our school does not intend to use in the upcoming school year; some would be common space (e.g. gymnasium, Learning Commons) that would be shared with our students.
An email with attachments and additional information was sent out May 14th.
